Presenter/Content Creator Bio's:

Paul Blais:
Paul is a co-founder of MDB Insight. He has worked to make municipalities more competitive throughout his 23-year economic development career. He brings a practitioner’s point-of-view to training staff and elected officials. For 10 years he held positions of increasing influence for three Ontario municipalities where he created a business-first customer services attitude that influenced the decisions of hundreds of entrepreneurs to invest in the communities he worked for. Since turning to consulting in 2005, Paul has led more than 200 economic development strategies, action plans, and related projects for municipal, regional, and provincial clients across Canada.

Jordan Tidey:
Before joining MDB Insight in 2016, Jordan was Manager of Market Intelligence with Economic Development Winnipeg, responsible for developing market intelligence through research and stakeholder engagement. He has also worked with Northern Development Initiative Trust in BC supporting rural economic development. He has had extensive experience developing focused sector profiles for business attraction campaigns collaborating with business leaders and associations. Active on the board with the Economic Developers Association of Manitoba (EDAM), Jordan has convened roundtable sessions and workshops about numerous topics in the field and is an experienced speaker and presenter.
